MAP Testing

This week all the Math classes will be taking the Winter Math MAP test. We should only be testing one day and will continue with where we left off in Chapter 3 the rest of the week.

Please keep in mind, the end of 2nd quarter is December 16. Any missing work will need to be in soon! Thanks!

Welcome Back!!

Welcome back from Thanksgiving Break!! I hope everybody had a nice week off!! We only have 3 weeks left until Winter Break and the end of 2nd quarter! In course 2, we will be starting Chapter 3 which is over different types of graphs. We will hopefully finish the chapter before break. In course 3, we will be continuing with solving equations and we should finish chapter 3 by the then of the quarter.

Week before Thanksgiving

Hello!!

I hope everybody has had a good couple of weeks! With the end of the quarter coming up in December, we have been busy getting tests and projects in. This week, Course 2 will be taking a test over sections 2.5-2.7. Their test will be on Scientific Notation, Metric System, and Metric Converstions. They will also have their first project due this week. Course 3 just got done taking a test and we have started on Chapter 3. We will be learning how to solve one step equations as well as two step equations. I think by Friday everybody will be ready for a nice break!! Please keep in mind, the last day of 2nd quarter is December 16th!!

Conferences- October 11-October 12

Conferences will be held October 11th and October 12th for middle school from 4 pm to 9 pm. If you are not able to come during those times please email your child's teachers to schedule another time to meet and discuss your children.

Harvest Hop- October 22

Harvest Hop is coming up on October 22, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

October 3 - October 8

This week we will be starting Chapter 2 in both Course 2 and Course 3. In Course 2, we will be studying decimals. In Course 3, we will be studying integers and coordinate planes. I am glad to say that the students did extremely well on their Chapter 1 test last week!

September 19-23

Hello! This week we have a few important events happening at school. On Tuesday, September 20, the 7th grade students will be taking the CoGat test in the Cafeteria. If you have questions about this test contact Mrs. Shelden. Also, on Wednesday, September 21, our school will be celebrating International Peace Day by making pinwheels to place in our lawn outside. Each kid has made a pinwheel and on Wednesday morning, we will have a ceremony at 8:00 am to place our pinwheels in the ground. This is to remind the kids that for one day there will be peace around the entire world. Please join us for this ceremony. Also, thanks to Mrs. Garbett our Elementary Art teacher for setting this event up. Remember, there will be no school this Friday! Have a great week!

Welcome back to school!! First of all, I am very excited for the upcoming school year and have had a lot of fun getting to know your children so far. They all seem wonderful and I am excited to get to share them with you this year. Sorry it has taken me so long to update my page. There will be homework updated here daily under your child's class.
